Can I use this on a new tattoo?

As with any brand new tattoo, you’re going to want to wait 24-48 hours after the session or until you no longer see open skin. After that, yes! Our balm stick is also 100% fragrance-free and especially great for highly sensitive areas.

Can this be used on permanent makeup?

Absolutely! It will help calm down any irritability while it hydrates and soothes. As with any tattoo or permanent makeup, make sure you’re not seeing open skin before applying (usually first 48 hours after session).

Why can’t I just use Aquaphor or Vaseline?

Mad Rabbit products do much more than just moisturize! Our products are specifically formulated to preserve ink while helping maintain its vibrancy. We skip heavy occlusives & questionable synthetics found in traditional body care products that can congest and even compromise skin, instead of focusing on clean ingredients that help improve skin texture and overall barrier function.

Is this Vegan?

Yes, our balm is made with sustainable and cruelty free carnauba wax along with other hydrating ingredients.

I love the tattoo balm!

I love the tattoo balm i've used it before, not in the stick style, but the little round tin. The vanilla coconut flavor. I love how the balm helps keep my tattoos, looking as if they were just done a couple of weeks ago, and it's been three years with majority of my tattoos, and they still look brand new. I've already put more of the balm into my cart, i plan to purchase stocking stuffers for myself.

convenient to take with me all day

this product is okay. there isn't really a point in using a stick since it comes out chunky and doesn't last but a few days.

it also leaves a very hard to get off residue even after washing it multiple times. not really worth the price.
