⭐ Ambassador of the Week: Amanda Venuti
Ambassador for 1+ months
 
Amanda’s tattoos tell the story of who she is. Strength, resilience, and the chapters of life that shape us all show up in her ink. Still, there is one detail people often do not expect. “I feel like my tattoos really tell a story of who I am, but people are always shocked to hear that I am a veteran of the US Army.”
 
She got her first tattoo at 19, choosing a phoenix across her shoulders as a symbol that reflected how she had already begun to see herself. Life had thrown its share of challenges her way, and the phoenix represented the ability to rise again. “No matter how many times I crashed and burned, I always got back up.”
 
One of the tattoos that means the most to her today might surprise some people. It is inspired by Twilight and features a foggy mountain landscape with the line, “And then we continued blissfully into this small but perfect piece of our forever.” While Amanda loved the books, the tattoo represents something much deeper. She and her husband spent 16 years raising six children in the Sonoran Desert before recently relocating to Port Angeles, Washington, the setting of the series. “After so many years in the desert and so many challenges, we finally found our perfect peace of forever in the Pacific Northwest.”
 
Living in the desert also made tattoo care a priority. For Amanda, it is simply part of her daily routine. “If I am putting moisturizer on my face, I am putting moisturizer on my tattoos.” Discovering Mad Rabbit helped simplify that process by giving her products she can rely on from the healing stage through long-term care.
 
Beyond the artwork itself, tattoos have also brought connection and healing into her life. Meeting artists, building relationships with creative people, and the experience of getting tattooed all play a role. “The process itself is extremely cathartic and the best therapy session you could ever pay for.”
