There's a Tupperware on my street that's been passed around so many times that nobody really owns it anymore. It shows up with banana bread, comes back with someone else's cookies, disappears for a few weeks, then turns up again on a different porch. Somewhere in there, people started taking in each other's trash bins, mowing whatever yard needed it that week, having each other over for dinner without much of a reason. Nobody organized any of it. It just became how the street runs.

Ambassador of the Week: Nichole Wall⭐
Nichole spent 10 years as a fine artist before she ever picked up a tattoo machine, specializing in color portraits, human and animal. These days she's known for something almost opposite: black and grey conceptual micro-realism. Most people looking at her work would never guess where she started.
She never planned on getting tattooed at all. It wasn't until she decided to become a tattoo artist that she figured she'd better know what it felt like from the other side of the needle. Her first piece was something simple off Pinterest, nothing precious about the design, but the feeling stuck with her. Confident, inspired, reassured she'd made the right call.
Her most meaningful tattoo is also her newest. After having a baby, "Penguin" became her kid's nickname, and the moment she was cleared to get tattooed again, after more than a year away, she knew exactly what she wanted: a fluffy baby penguin with a daffodil sprouting up behind it. She didn't have to think hard about the design. Once she could get tattooed again, she already knew what she wanted.
She talks about tattoos the same way: as something that has connected her with people she never would have met otherwise and given her confidence she didn't always have. She keeps that care going in the everyday stuff too, mostly by staying ahead of sun exposure and keeping fresh work moisturized with Mad Rabbit.
