 The last couple of weeks have felt busy in a way that makes the small moments stand out more. I took a late-night walk while it was snowing. Empty streets, big flakes coming down, Christmas decor glowing in the windows, warm neon lighting everything up. One of those moments you don’t plan for, but are really glad you didn’t skip.
 
That same attention has been showing up in smaller, more unexpected ways, too. Being more intentional with what we’re building behind the scenes as we look ahead to next year. And, surprisingly, wrapping presents. I usually wing it with whatever paper I have around (newspaper included). This year I didn’t. I picked the paper. The ribbon. Went through all the stages of grief and somehow got pretty good by the end of it.
 
It all feels connected. A lot is happening at once, but it’s a reminder to choose care and intention over rushing through everything. Not everything needs to move fast.

⭐ Ambassador of the Week: Monica Amaya
 
Chesca waited years before getting her first tattoo, and when she finally did, she wanted it to feel like home. “I wanted it to represent where I grew up, the Philippines, and Saipan, so that I feel at home whenever I’m homesick.” The flowers in the piece were added to honor “the strong women in my life who live far away.”
 
That same sense of meaning shows up throughout her tattoos. One that stands out in a big way is a Baybayin tattoo along her spine. “It means ‘Resilient.’” She got it during an especially difficult year, and the word became a reminder to keep getting back up, no matter what was happening around her.
 
As she continued adding to her collection, caring for those pieces became part of the journey too. “Mad Rabbit has been a huge part of my journey,” supporting her along the way as her tattoos grew with her.
 
Altogether, her tattoos tell a clear story about who she is today. “A resilient, strong woman who’s done everything she puts her mind to.”
