⭐ Ambassador of the Week: Caitlin Friend
Ambassador for 2+ years
 
Caitlin has been part of the Mad Rabbit ambassador community for over two years, and her tattoos reflect nearly everything she’s passionate about. She’s open about her interests and creative influences, and her social presence mirrors that honesty.
 
Her tattoo journey began in college with a small, colorful hibiscus flower on the top of her foot, chosen to celebrate her 20th birthday. She brought her roommate and friends along for support, including one heavily tattooed friend who helped keep her foot steady during the session. The tattoo itself only took about fifteen minutes, but afterward, she unexpectedly passed out while paying. Thanks to her nursing-student roommate, an emergency lollipop, and a short recovery break, she was back on her feet shortly after.
 
Of all her tattoos, the one that holds the most meaning is her grandmother’s signature on her left shoulder blade. Her grandmother passed away when Caitlin was eleven, and on the fifteenth anniversary, she found the last card she had ever received from her. Getting “Love, Grandma B” tattooed was only her third tattoo, and it remains the most meaningful to her.
 
Tattoo care is part of Caitlin’s everyday routine, from sunscreen to products that help keep her tattoos looking refreshed. While healing new pieces, she’s currently using the Tattoo Wash and Balm Stick, along with Daily Lotion to help manage very dry skin. The Frankincense & Lavender balm has also become a go-to for her hands, helping care for the small tattoos on her fingers.
 
Beyond the artwork itself, tattoos have been a source of healing for Caitlin. During stressful periods, the physical process of getting tattooed feels grounding and restorative. She enjoys line work and values the experience as much as the finished piece. Tattoos have also opened the door to meaningful connections — as a book lover completing a book-themed sleeve on her left arm, she often finds herself in conversations about shared reading interests. Her ghost cat tattoo on her right arm is another piece that regularly invites curiosity and conversation.
