Sneak peek: Mad Rabbit x Modern Warrior with ambassador @rickyxbee

I just got back from LA, and it was one of those trips where everything seemed to happen at once. We watched movies on the projector in the studio after hours, ate way too well, half-slept our way through a comedy show, and yes — I definitely had more yerba mate than anyone needs. Oliver and I even had one of those Uber rides where we quietly debated if we should bail halfway.
 
The heart of the trip was Modern Warrior, a performance that blends spoken narrative with live jazz. It began as the story of veteran Jaymes Poling and his deployments to Afghanistan, the weight of coming home, and finding his way forward. This time, it was adapted to focus on three new veterans. They each shared their own stories in the studio, and we gave them tattoos to mark the experience.
 
Moments like this remind me of why we do what we do. Just like with P.ink, these projects are ways for us to give back, and none of it happens without this ambassador community. You make it possible to open the studio doors for something bigger than ourselves.

⭐ Ambassador of the Week: Damiana Landfried
 
For over a year, Ambassador Artist Damiana Landfried has been part of our community, using tattoos to reflect her passions and growth. “My tattoos, personally? They show a lot: my love for anime, my love for patchwork, and collecting art. My love for travel, as I get one from someone on almost every trip I make. It also shows a personal journey with my mental health and how I've improved over the years.”
 
Mad Rabbit has been part of that journey since her apprentice days. “Mad Rabbit has provided me a lot of products and care tips that have helped my clients heal their tattoos, producing some of the best heals I've had on any piece. I always go back to the same tried and true products.”
 
Her most meaningful tattoo is a family connection. “I have a matching tattoo with my mom and grandma; they got a deadhead bear. 21 years later, I got the same one, but I added a banner with my brother's and sister's names in it. It's not much, but it means the world to me.”
 
Her story started with a rebellious laugh. “I got my first tattoo as an act of defiance, because my dad always told me not to get one. Being a tattoo artist now, we all get a good laugh out of it.”
 
And if you think you know Damiana at first glance, here’s a surprise. “Over the course of my life, I have learned to play at least 12 instruments. Most of them being brass instruments.”
 
We are grateful to have Damiana in the Mad Rabbit family and proud to spotlight her as our Ambassador of the Week.
